Unique: We design and create colorful silk aviator scarves locally in limited editions in The Bay Area. Creating small editions allows for creativity and customer input. Specialized one-of-a kind scarves are a statement piece in any wardrobe.
Lifestyle: We care about how you look and feel in our aviator scarves – we design our scarves to fit your unique lifestyle. Our scarves are beta-tested in the San Francisco Bay Area to give us feedback that they are working for you.
Handmade Scarves: Our artisan aviator scarves are created in small runs of 100% designer silks to create a unique product. Petite sizes are approximately 10” wide to 58” long. Medium are 10″wide to 70″ long and Long scarves are 10″ to 100″ long. Each scarf is handmade and unique! The scarves were origianally produced locally in San Leandro, CA. from imported fabric. Now Le Beau Cou has uprooted silks and sewing machines to work in a quieter and more productive Montpelier, Vermont. Each scarf is handmade with care and attention to detail.
Convenience: Each aviator scarf is edged with signature grey thread to coordinate and compliment a variety of outfits. Scarves can be custom edged in black, white, grey, navy, and red. Scarf customization is available in all colors. Our scarves are easy to wear which saves time. Soft edges are hemmed with high quality threads. Right away you can envision how your scarf will work with neutrals such as gray, black, navy blue and taupe.
Labels:Our clothing tags are worn at the back of the neck. The tag acts to center the scarf and isn’t distracting. “Thank you for that!” says one of our customers. Our tags “feel like air” to the wearer. Definitely not scratchy!
Building a Collection: Buy one scarf or start a collection. Every month Le Beau Cou comes out with limited runs of a new artisan scarf and presents ideas on how to tie and wear it. We hope to serve a variety of looks that our customer customizes.

“I first started making scarves to enable the lives of working women in the Bay Area to have variety and ease without having to purchase multiple outfits. I was working in a fabric store that encouraged us to dress in the self-made garments. I was falling in love with the silk in the store and I became fascinated that a simple piece of silk could change a whole outfit as well as create an air of elegance and respect. So minimal and ideal for my situation! As Le Beau Cou has grown, I have found that men are drawn to the understated elegance of my scarves as well, and now create my business to work for all of my customers. I aim to create a self-sustaining and handmade life through Le Beau Cou. I am thankful to all of my customers and my support team who are helping me reach this goal. I hope that my scarves also work to help you reach your goals; whether it be a creative endeavor, a promotion, looking great on an evening out, or raising a family.”
